Collection: Woodwork

The woodwork of Michoacán is a living testament to tradition and craftsmanship.

Hand-carved using ancestral techniques, each piece reflects a deep connection between the artisan and nature. From utensils to sculptures and furniture, the wood comes to life in unique forms, rich with history, symbolism, and an aesthetic sensitivity passed down through generations.

This is art not just to be seen — but to be felt. Every piece holds a story.

These photos were taken during one of our journeys through the beautiful small towns of Michoacán.

This particular series comes from inside the "Tera brothers" workshop in Tocuaro Michoacán, a village where the scent of wood and tradition fills the air. Known for its deep-rooted woodcarving heritage, this is where each piece begins — not with machines, but with memory and heart.

Guided by the hands of artisans and the legacy of their ancestors, every carving becomes a quiet tribute to culture, patience, and pride.
