Collection: Pottery

In Michoacán, pottery is more than a craft — it’s a legacy molded by hand.

For generations, Michoacán artisans have molded clay by hand, using age-old techniques passed down through families and rooted in Indigenous traditions. From burnished black clay to vibrant painted motifs, each piece reflects the spirit of its region — not just as an object, but as a vessel of culture, memory, and identity.

These photos were taken at the home-workshop of Olivia Hernández, where clay is transformed into art by hands that have shaped it since childhood.

Together with her family, Olivia has devoted her life to pottery — crafting each piece with care, heritage, and heart. Every creation carries their soul, made to be shared with the world.
